The figure rose almost three times in 2026 because the silver price did. If silver stays where it is, the 2027 figure will be close to 52.5 tola of silver at the rate on the day it is set; the live value of that is about Rs 2,97,093 today. This is our estimate, not an official figure.
What to do before Ramadan 2027
- Fix your zakat date. Many people use 1 Ramadan; if yours is different, the zakat date calculator finds it.
- Decide about the bank deduction. If your fiqh exempts you, file CZ-50 in time; read bank zakat deduction and CZ-50. If you would rather pay yourself, keep long-term savings in a current account.
- List your wealth on that date and work out the full amount with the Pakistan zakat calculator, then subtract what the bank deducted.
- Check today’s nisab on nisab today; it is not the same as the bank’s figure.
- Prepare fitrana for each person in the house with the fitrana calculator, and fidya or kaffara with the fidya calculator.
- Choose who receives it: see who can receive zakat.
Fitrana 2027
The fitrana for Ramadan 1448 has not been announced yet. Last year the Council of Islamic Ideology gave Rs 300 per person by wheat and Rs 1,600 by dates; in 2025 it was Rs 220 by wheat. When the 2027 amounts are out, the calculator switches to them on the same day. Older years are on the fitrana page.
